Holiday Tips
Cardiff in enchanting. It is where the old and the new blend together beautifully and you have a sense of what future urban centres will look like in the future (or should look like). There is a sense of space that you don't find in most of England (or Italy) because there is little space and buildings everywhere. No, not in Cardiff. The language is ancient and triggers curiosity; the people are welcoming and proud of having tourists interested on their culture. There isn't much to do apart from taking pictures (which is good enough, such a rich artistic environment you will find) and hanging out at night. If you have time go up the mountains and to the sea. It is still preserved and fresh... just lovely. Totally recommend going.
All of the pictures herein were taken by our dear friend Nelson Toledo who is a talented photographer with an amazing eye for light and shapes. I really hope we can travel together again sometime.
Pics
| Town centre right in front of the new Library. Everything is well crafted and planned... | The water tower, one of the best public art I've seen my hole life. Just astonishing. |
Accommodation
- Never go to the Nomad Hostel. It is awful! There was a vomit stain on the carpet and the beds were filled with other people's hair... not hair from the head, but from... you know what I mean. It took them 2 hours to give us some of the 3 sheets we needed. Horrible experience.
